Emmanuel Community School has a home!
Welcome to the website which sets out our proposals for a new Primary School for children in Walthamstow. We'll be updating the site regularly and we hope you'll visit often to keep up to date with our progress. The proposed Emmanuel Community School plans to open in September 2012 with 30 pupils in each of Reception and Year 1.
The Emmanuel School Trust (TEST) is delighted to announce that, with the agreement of the Diocese of Chelmsford and the Department for Education, we have identified a location for our new Primary School.
The proposed Emmanuel Community School will be located at the current site for St Mary’s C of E Primary School, The Drive, Walthamstow, London E17 3BN. The building is being modified to make it suitable and will not be ready for use in September 2012 when we plan to open. In the meantime, to help meet the need for additional school places in September 2012, TEST has secured temporary accommodation at Emmanuel Christian Centre, 102-106 Erskine Road, London E17 6SA for one year. The site has plenty of outdoor space for children’s play and PE activities and is purpose built for education use.
